Rotary and Single-Tube Punches

Single tube punches are a round hole punch traditionally used by harness makers, saddle makers, and other leather workers to punch holes in leather straps. They are variably referred to as plier punches, squeeze punches, and frame punches. They are numbered by the hole size of the punch tube. The anvils and the tubes are replaceable. All of the punches come with sharp tubes and anvils to match. Some punches have springs between the handles to help open them. Having the spring is a personal preference and some punches have had the spring removed to suit the user.

Rotary punches have multiple punch tubes on a single frame. They are commonly found in versions with 6 replaceable punch tubes. These are the sturdy solid cast frame punches, not the lesser expensive stamped metal frame style. The tubes have all been sharpened and tested.
